A fire destroyed two historic buildings in Forks Monday overnight.
rise buildings are located near U.S. 101/Forks East Avenue and Division Street. Clallam County Fire District 1 reported that the fire started around 03:30. Flames seems that originally began in a three-story building of wood known as the Oddfellows building, which housed a theater group and a Latin American market. The fire spread to an adjacent Twilight store, Dazzled by Twilight, which was closed for some time. According to the City, a similar fire 87 years ago destroyed part of the city and the two buildings that burned Monday were built after fire. teams managed to contain the fire to the two buildings. No one was injured. The cause remains under investigation. Forks Elementary, Middle School and Forks High School Forks are closed due to power outages as a result of the fire.
